अदित्या: सप्तधा त्वं तु पुराणो गर्भतां गत: । पृश्चिगर्भस्त्वमेवैकस्त्रियुगं त्वां वदन्त्यपि
adityāḥ saptadhā tvaṃ tu purāṇo garbhatāṃ gataḥ | pṛścigarbhas tvam evaikas triyugaṃ tvāṃ vadanty api ||
ಹೇ ಪುರಾಣಪುರುಷ! ನೀವು ಅದಿತಿಯ ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ವಿಧವಾಗಿ ಅವತರಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ನೀವೇ ಏಕೈಕವಾಗಿ ‘ಪೃಶ್ಚಿಗರ್ಭ’ ಎಂಬ ನಾಮದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧರು; ಮತ್ತು ಮೂರು ಯುಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುವುದರಿಂದ ಪಂಡಿತರು ನಿಮಗೆ ‘ತ್ರಿಯುಗ’ ಎಂದೂ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
