यत्र देवो महाबाहु: शाश्वतः पुरुषोत्तम: । अनादिनिधनो विप्र किमाश्नर्यमत: परम्
yatra devo mahābāhuḥ śāśvataḥ puruṣottamaḥ | anādinidhano vipra kim āścaryam ataḥ param ||
ನಾಗನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಓ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನೇ! ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಅಸಾಧಾರಣ ತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾಬಾಹು, ಶಾಶ್ವತ, ಅನಾದಿ-ಅಂತವಿಲ್ಲದ ಪುರುಷೋತ್ತಮನು ಸ್ವಯಂ ವಾಸಿಸುವುದು—ಇದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ಇನ್ನೇನು? ಅವನಿಂದಲೇ ನಾನಾವಿಧ ಬೀಜಗಳು ಹುಟ್ಟುತ್ತವೆ; ಅವನ ಆಧಾರದಿಂದಲೇ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಭೂಮಿ ಚರಾಚರಗಳೊಡನೆ ಧಾರಿತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸೂರ್ಯಮಂಡಲದಲ್ಲೇ ಸ್ವಯಂ ನಾರಾಯಣನು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವೇನು?
