Atithi’s Direction to the Nāga-sage Padma at Naimiṣa (अतिथ्युपदेशः—नैमिषे पद्मनागोपाख्यानप्रस्तावः)

न वै रात्र्यां न दिवसे न सति नासति न व्यक्ते न चाप्यव्यक्ते व्यवस्थिते,उस समय न रात थी, न दिन। न सत्‌ था, न असत। न व्यक्त था और न अव्यक्तकी ही स्थिति थी

na vai rātryāṁ na divase na sati nāsati na vyakte na cāpyavyakte vyavasthite

ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾತ್ರಿಯೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಹಗಲೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಸತ್ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಅಸತ್ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ವ್ಯಕ್ತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವ್ಯಕ್ತವೂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ।
