शुको ददर्श धर्मात्मा पुष्पितद्रुमकाननाम्‌ | राजन! धर्मात्मा शुकने ऊर्ध्वलोकमें जाते समय खिले हुए वृक्षों और वनोंसे सुशोभित रमणीय मन्दाकिनी (आकाशगंगा) का दर्शन किया

Transliteration

śuko dadarśa dharmātmā puṣpitadrumakānanām |

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಧರ್ಮಾತ್ಮನಾದ ಶುಕನು ಪುಷ್ಪಿತ ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಶೋಭಿತವಾದ ಕಾನನವನ್ನು ಕಂಡನು. ಊರ್ಧ್ವಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳುತ್ತಿರಲು ಪುಷ್ಪಿತ ಉಪವನಗಳಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕರಿತವಾದ ರಮ್ಯ ಮಂದಾಕಿನಿಯನ್ನು ಅವನು ದರ್ಶಿಸಿದನು.
