The verse functions as a narrative hinge in Bhīṣma’s instruction: it introduces a consequential manifestation emerging from Vṛtra, implying that deeds and conflicts culminate in tangible outcomes—an ethical reminder that actions bear inevitable results within dharma-centered storytelling.
Bhīṣma addresses Yudhiṣṭhira (“Kauravya”) and describes a moment in the Vṛtra episode: something is said to emerge from Vṛtra’s body, setting up the next detail of the story and its moral implication.
