परिव्राजक-आचारः (Conduct of the Wandering Renunciant) — Mahābhārata, Śānti-parva 269
सत्यं हि धर्ममास्थाय दुराधर्षतमा मता: । न मात्रामनुरुध्यन्ते न धर्मच्छलमन्ततः
satyaṁ hi dharmam āsthāya durādharṣatamā matāḥ | na mātrām anurudhyante na dharmacchalam antataḥ ||
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ಧರ್ಮವೆಂದು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿ ಸ್ಥಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದರು; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಅಜೇಯರೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರು ಲೇಶಮಾತ್ರವೂ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಪ್ರಾಣಾಂತದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಧರ್ಮದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಸಕ್ಕೆ ಕೈಹಾಕುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
