मृत्युकारणप्रश्नः / Inquiry into the Cause and Designation of Death

ताम्येयु: प्रच्युता: पृथ्व्या यथा पूर्णा नदीं नरा: | अवगाढा हाविद्वांसो विद्धि लोकमिमं तथा

Transliteration

tāmyeyuḥ pracyutāḥ pṛthvyā yathā pūrṇāṃ nadīṃ narāḥ | avagāḍhā hāvidvāṃso viddhi lokam imaṃ tathā ||

Translation

ವ್ಯಾಸನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ, ನದಿತೀರದಿಂದ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ನದಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು, ಈಜುವ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಮುಳುಗಿ ಮೇಲೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಮಹಾಕ್ಲೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರೋ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಈ ಲೋಕ-ಸಂಸಾರಸಾಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿ ನಿರಂತರ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ಭೋಗಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ—ಇಂತೆಂದು ತಿಳಿ।
