Adhyāya 223: Nāradasya Guṇa-kathana

स एव हाुस्तमयते स सम विद्योतते दिश:
sa eva hāstamayate sa samaṁ vidyotate diśaḥ | sa eva yathāsamayaṁ ālasyaṁ chittvā samantād diśaḥ prakāśayati, sa evāstam eti sa eva varṣati | brahman! taṁ baliṁ ahaṁ mṛgayamāṇo ’pi na paśyāmi | tvaṁ me rājānaṁ balikaṁ ācakṣva ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಅವನೇ ಅಸ್ತಮಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನೇ ಸಮವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸಿ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನೇ ಕಾಲಾನುಸಾರ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನೂ ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಹೇ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮನ್! ಆ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ; ರಾಜ ಬಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳು.
