Santoṣa), Restraint, and Adroha (Non-injury
विधिना श्रावणेनैव कुर्यात् कर्माण्यतन्द्रित: । य एवं वर्तते राजन् स राजा धर्मनिश्चितः
vidhinā śrāvaṇenaiva kuryāt karmāṇy atandritaḥ | ya evaṁ vartate rājan sa rājā dharmaniścitaḥ ||
ವಿಧಿಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೋಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಶ್ರವಣಮಾಡಿ, ಅಲಸ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ತನ್ನ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಕರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಓ ರಾಜನೇ! ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ವರ್ತಿಸುವ ರಾಜನು ಧರ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಿತನಾದ—ಧರ್ಮನಿಶ್ಚಿತನು.
