Adhyāya 193: Adjudication of the Comparable Fruits of Japa and Yoga
कृतस्य तु फल तत्र प्रत्यक्षमुपल भ्यते । पानासनाशनोपेता: प्रासादभवनाश्रया:
kṛtasya tu phalaṃ tatra pratyakṣam upalabhyate | pānāsanāśanopetāḥ prāsādabhavanāśrayāḥ |
ಭರದ್ವಾಜನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಆ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕರ್ಮದ ಫಲವು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಅನುಭವಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಎತ್ತರದ ಪ್ರಾಸಾದಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿ, ಉತ್ತಮ ಆಸನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತು, ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಆಹಾರ-ಪಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಾಮನೆಗಳೂ ಪೂರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ, ಸ್ವರ್ಣಾಭರಣಗಳಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕರಿತರಾಗಿ, ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬದುಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಣಧಾರಣೆಗೆ ಸಾಕಾಗುವಷ್ಟು ಮಾತ್ರ ಆಹಾರ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ; ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಮಹಾಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ತಪೋಮಯ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಆ ಲೋಕವು ಈ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವೆಂದು ವರ್ಣಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ.
