Kāpavya-carita (कापव्यचरित) — Reforming Dasyus through Regulated Rāja-Dharma
न वाच्य: परिवादो<यं न श्रोतव्य:ः कथड्चन । कर्णावथ पिधातव्यौ प्रस्थेयं चान्यतो भवेत्
na vācyaḥ parivādo ’yaṃ na śrotavyaḥ kathaṃcana | karṇāv atha pidhātavyau prasthēyaṃ cānyato bhavet ||
ಇಂತಹ ಅಪವಾದವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಬಾರದು; ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ಕೇಳಬಾರದು. ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ನಿಂದಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ, ಕಿವಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಅಥವಾ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಬೇರೆಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು।
