Kāpavya-carita (कापव्यचरित) — Reforming Dasyus through Regulated Rāja-Dharma
बहवो ग्रामवास्तव्या रोषाद् ब्रूयु: परस्परम् । न तेषां वचनाद् राजा सत्कुर्याद् घातयीत वा
bahavo grāmavāstavya roṣād brūyuḥ parasparam | na teṣāṁ vacanād rājā satkuryād ghātayīta vā ||
ಅನೇಕ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ರಾಜನ ಮುಂದೆ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ದೂಷಿಸಿ, ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ನಿಂದಿಸಿದರೆ, ರಾಜನು ಅವರ ಮಾತಿನ ಬಲದಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸಬಾರದು, ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಗೌರವವನ್ನೂ ನೀಡಬಾರದು; ಸಮ್ಯಕ್ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಜನಕಲಹ ಮತ್ತು ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತದ ವರದಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೀರ್ಪಿನ ಆಧಾರ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು।
