प्रावषीवासितग्रीवो मज्जेत निशि निर्जने । मायूरेण गुणेनैव स्त्रीभिश्चालक्षितश्चरेत्

ಮಳೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ನೆನೆದ ಕಂಠವಿರುವ ನವಿಲು ಏಕಾಂತ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿ ನಿಶ್ಚಲವಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ, ರಾಜನು ಮಳೆಗಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡದೆ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣದಂತೆ, ರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರಲಿ. ನವಿಲಿನ ಅದೇ ಗುಣವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ, ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿಯದಂತೆ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ—ರಹಸ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಯಮವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಲಿ.
