न वैराण्यभिजानन्ति गुणान् पश्यन्ति नागुणान् । विरोधं नाधिगच्छन्ति ये त उत्तमपूरुषा:
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | na vairāṇy abhijānanti guṇān paśyanti nāguṇān | virodhaṁ nādhigacchanti ye te uttama-pūruṣāḥ ||
ವೈರವನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ, ದೋಷಗಳನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುವವರು, ಯಾರೊಂದಿಗೂ ವಿರೋಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗದವರು—ಅವರೇ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪುರುಷರು.
