अर्जुनस्य दिग्विजयारम्भः — Arjuna Initiates the Northern Campaign and Secures Bhagadattta’s Tribute
सर्वातिक्रान्तमर्याद पृष्ठभज़ च चक्रतुः । सम्पूर्णमूर्च्छा बाहुभ्यां पूर्णकुम्भं प्रचक्रतु:
sarvātikrāntamaryāda pṛṣṭhabhaṅgaṃ ca cakratuḥ | sampūrṇamūrcchā bāhubhyāṃ pūrṇakumbhaṃ pracakratuḥ ||
ನಂತರ ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲ ಮಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ‘ಪೃಷ್ಠಭಂಗ’ ಎಂಬ ದಾವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದರು—ಅಂದರೆ ಒಬ್ಬರ ಬೆನ್ನನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ತಾಕಿಸುವ ಯತ್ನ. ಎರಡೂ ಬಾಹುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವರು ‘ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣಮೂರ್ಚ್ಛಾ’—ಮರ್ಮಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಡೆದು ಮೂರ್ಚೆಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ—ಮತ್ತು ‘ಪೂರ್ಣಕುಂಭ’ ಎಂಬ ಹಿಡಿತವನ್ನೂ ಬಳಸಿದರು.
