साम्बं च निहतं दृष्टवा चारुदेष्णं च माधव:

Transliteration

sāmbaṁ ca nihataṁ dṛṣṭvā cārudeṣṇaṁ ca mādhavaḥ

Translation

ಸಾಂಬನು ಹತನಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ, ಚಾರುದೇಷ್ಣೆಯೂ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡ ಮಾಧವನು ತನ್ನದೇ ವಂಶದ ನಾಶವನ್ನು ಕಂಡನು; ಧರ್ಮ ಲಂಘಿಸಿ ಸಂಯಮ ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿದಾಗ ವಿಧಿಯ ಪರಿಪಾಕವನ್ನು ಮಹಾಬಲಿಗಳೂ ತಡೆಯಲಾರರು ಎಂಬುದು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಯಿತು.
