Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 94: Sātyaki–Sudarśana Yuddha (सात्यकि–सुदर्शन युद्ध)
न चाकरोत् स ठठद्दाक्यं प्राप्ते काले श्रुतायुध: । स तया वीरघातिन्या जनार्दनमताडयत्,परंतु काल आ जानेपर श्रुतायुधने वरुणदेवके उक्त आदेशका पालन नहीं किया। उन्होंने उस वीरघातिनी गदाके द्वारा भगवान् श्रीकृष्णको चोट पहुँचायी
na cākarot sa tat tad vākyaṃ prāpte kāle śrutāyudhaḥ | sa tayā vīraghātinyā janārdanam atāḍayat |
ಆದರೆ ನಿರ್ಣಾಯಕ ಕ್ಷಣ ಬಂದಾಗ ಶ್ರುತಾಯುಧನು ಆ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ವೀರಘಾತಿನೀ ಗದೆಯಿಂದ ಜನಾರ್ದನನಾದ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಪ್ರಹಾರ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
