अध्याय ९१ — शैनेयस्य गजानीकभेदनं जलसंधवधश्च
Chapter 91: Sātyaki breaks the elephant array and slays Jalasaṃdha
इति श्रीमहाभारते द्रोणपर्वणि जयद्रथवधपर्वणि अर्जुनयुद्धे एकोननवतितमो<ध्याय:
iti śrīmahābhārate droṇaparvaṇi jayadrathavadhaparvaṇi arjunayuddhe ekonanavatitamo 'dhyāyaḥ
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಇಂತೆ ಶ್ರೀಮಹಾಭಾರತದ ದ್ರೋಣಪರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ, ಜಯದ್ರಥವಧಪರ್ವದೊಳಗೆ, ಅರ್ಜುನಯುದ್ಧವರ್ಣನೆಯ ಏಕೋನನವತಿತಮ (೮೯ನೇ) ಅಧ್ಯಾಯವು ಸಮಾಪ್ತವಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಸಮಾಪನ-ಕೋಲೊಫೋನ್ ಘಟನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಧರ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ವಿಶಾಲ ನೆಯ್ಗೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಔಪಚಾರಿಕ ಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂಸೆಯನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸಿ, ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆ, ಪರಿಣಾಮ, ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಧಿ-ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಗಳ ಗಂಭೀರ ಪ್ರವಾಹವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
