इस प्रकार श्रीमह्या भारत द्रोणपर्वके अन्तर्गत जयद्रथवधपर्वमें अजुनका रणभूमिमें प्रवेशविषयक अठासीवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

Iti prakāraḥ śrīmahābhārate Droṇaparvaṇi antar-gate Jayadrathavadhaparvaṇi Arjunasya raṇabhūmau praveśa-viṣayakam aṣṭāśītitamo 'dhyāyaḥ samāptaḥ.

Translation

ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಇಂತೆ ಶ್ರೀಮಹಾಭಾರತದ ದ್ರೋಣಪರ್ವದೊಳಗಿನ ಜಯದ್ರಥವಧಪರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಜುನನ ರಣಭೂಮಿಪ್ರವೇಶವನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸುವ ಎಂಭತ್ತೆಂಟನೇ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯವು ಸಮಾಪ್ತವಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಸಮಾಪನಸೂತ್ರವು ಧರ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಕಥನದ ಮಹತ್ವದ ತಿರುವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ: ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಯುದ್ಧಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಮರಳುವುದು ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆ, ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಯುದ್ಧದ ಭೀಕರ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಗಟ್ಟಿಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
