अधर्मो हि कृतस्तीव्र: कथं स्यादफलश्रिरम्‌ । “तुम्हारे पापकर्मका फल तुम्हें शीघ्र ही प्राप्त होगा। तुमलोगोंने घोर पाप किया है। उसका फल मिलनेमें अधिक विलम्ब कैसे हो सकता है?

Transliteration

adharmo hi kṛtas tīvraḥ kathaṃ syād aphalaśriyam |

Translation

ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಘೋರ ಅಧರ್ಮ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ; ಅದು ಫಲವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಕರ್ಮದ ಫಲ ನಿಮಗೆ ಶೀಘ್ರವೇ ದೊರೆಯಲಿದೆ. ನೀವು ಭಯಾನಕ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ಅದರ ಫಲ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವಿಳಂಬ ಹೇಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯ?
