अर्जुनस्य प्रतिघातः — श्रुताय्वच्युतायुवधः तथा गजसैन्यविदारणम्

अग्निष्टोमातिरात्राभ्यामिष्टवा विश्वजिता अपि | वाजपेयसहस्राणां सहसैश्न सुसंवृतैः

agniṣṭomātirātrābhyām iṣṭvā viśvajitā api | vājapeyasahasrāṇāṁ sahasaiś ca susaṁvṛtaiḥ ||

ನಾರದನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಅಗ್ನಿಷ್ಟೋಮ ಮತ್ತು ಅತಿರಾತ್ರ ಯಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ, ವಿಶ್ವಜಿತ್ ಯಾಗವನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ—ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ವಿಧಿನಿಷ್ಠೆಯಿಂದ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವಾಜಪೇಯ ಯಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿದರೂ (ಯಾಗಗಳ ಬಹುಳತೆಯೇ ಧರ್ಮದ ಅಂತಿಮ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕು)।
