Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical-psychological ideal of steadiness under pressure: in the chaos of war, mastery is shown not only by force but by asambhrānti—clarity and lack of panic—so that action remains controlled rather than driven by fear.

Sañjaya reports that the warrior being described continues his assault: he strikes the remaining great archers as well, allotting ten arrows to each, and does so calmly. Observers regard the performance as extraordinary, almost miraculous.
