क्षुरप्रेण महातेजास्त्वरमाण: सपत्नजित् | उस समय शत्रुओंपर विजय पानेवाले महातेजस्वी द्रोणाचार्यने शीघ्रता करते हुए एक क्षुप्रके द्वारा अभिमन्युकी मुद्ठीमें स्थित हुए मणिमय मूठसे युक्त खड़गको काट डाला

ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಆ ವೇಳೆ ಶತ್ರುಜಯಕ್ಕೆ ತ್ವರಿತನಾದ ಮಹಾತೇಜಸ್ವಿ ದ್ರೋಣಾಚಾರ್ಯನು ಕ್ಷುರಪ್ರ ಎಂಬ ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣ ಬಾಣದಿಂದ, ಅಭಿಮನ್ಯುವಿನ ಮುಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ಬಿಗಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದ ಮಣಿಮಯ ಹಿಡಿತವಿರುವ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ ಬೀಳಿಸಿದನು।
