स सम्प्रहारस्तुमुलो निशि प्रत्यभवन्महान् । यथा सागरयो राजंश्नन्द्रोदयविवृद्धयो:,राजन! उस रात्रिमें चन्द्रोदयकालमें उमड़े हुए दो महासागरोंके सदृश उन दोनों दलोंका वह महान् संग्राम अत्यन्त भयंकर प्रतीत होता था
sa samprahāras tumulo niśi pratyabhavan mahān | yathā sāgarayor rājan candrodayavivṛddhayoḥ ||
ರಾಜನೇ! ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಸಮರಸಂಘರ್ಷವು ಮಹತ್ತಾಗಿ, ತೂಮುಲವಾಗಿ ಉಕ್ಕಿಬಂದಿತು; ಚಂದ್ರೋದಯದಿಂದ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾದ ಎರಡು ಮಹಾಸಾಗರಗಳಂತೆ ಅದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭಯಾನಕವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿತು.
