उपायैः पूर्ववधकथनम् / Strategic Justifications for Prior Eliminations
घोरश्नट्चटाशब्द: शस्त्राणां पततामभूत् । जैसे पर्वतपर रातके समय बाँसोंका जंगल जल रहा हो और उन बाँसोंका चटखनेका घोर शब्द सुनायी दे रहा हो, उसी प्रकार शस्त्रोंक आघात-प्रत्याघातसे घोर चटचट शब्द कानोंमें पड़ रहा था

ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾ ಢಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹೊಡೆಯುವ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ಭೀಕರ ಚಟಚಟ ಶಬ್ದ ಎದ್ದಿತು. ಆಘಾತ-ಪ್ರತ್ಯಾಘಾತದಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಆ ನಿನಾದವು, ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರ್ವತದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಗಿಡಿದ ಬಿದಿರು ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದಿರು ಚಟಪಟನೆ ಮುರಿಯುವ ಭಯಾನಕ ಶಬ್ದದಂತೆ, ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ಕಿವಿಗಳನ್ನು ಚೀರಿತು.
