यदवोचोडप्रियं भीम॑ नैतत् सत्यं वचस्तव । 'तूने युद्धमें संलग्न, श्रेष्ठ व्रतके पालनमें तत्पर, पराक्रमी और शूरवीर भीमसेनके प्रति जो अप्रिय वचन कहा है, तेरा यह कथन ठीक नहीं है
sañjaya uvāca | yad avoco 'priyaṃ bhīma naitat satyaṃ vacas tava |
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಭೀಮನಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಆ ಅಪ್ರಿಯ ವಚನ ಸತ್ಯವಲ್ಲ; ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತು ಯುಕ್ತವಲ್ಲ. ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿರುವ, ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ವ್ರತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿರನಾದ, ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಶೂರನಾದ ಭೀಮಸೇನನಿಗೆ ಇಂತಹ ವಾಣಿ ಶೋಭಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
