कर्षतो मुज्चतो बाणान् नान्तरं ददृशे रणे । उस रणभूमिमें दोनों हाथोंसे बाणोंको लेते, धनुषपर रखते, खींचते और छोड़ते हुए कर्णके इन कार्योंमें कोई अन्तर नहीं दिखायी देता था

karṣato muñcato bāṇān nāntaraṃ dadṛśe raṇe |
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ರಣಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ಣನು ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೆತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು, ಬಿಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಜೋಡಿಸುವುದು, ಎಳೆಯುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಬಿಡುವುದು—ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೆ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಒಂದೇ ಸಮತೋಲನದ ಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ, ತಪ್ಪಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು।
