द्रोणपर्व (अध्याय ११२) — कर्णभीमयोर्युद्धम्, दुर्योधनस्य रक्षणादेशः

संजय उवाच शृणु राजन महाप्राज्ञ संग्रामं लोमहर्षणम् । द्रोणस्य पाण्डवै: सार्थ युयुधानपुरोगमै:
sañjaya uvāca: śṛṇu rājan mahāprajña saṅgrāmaṃ lomaharṣaṇam | droṇasya pāṇḍavaiḥ sārthaṃ yuyudhānapurogamaiḥ ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ರಾಜನೇ, ಮಹಾಪ್ರಾಜ್ಞನೇ! ಕೇಳು—ಯುಯುಧಾನ (ಸಾತ್ಯಕಿ) ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾಗ ಪಾಂಡವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ದ್ರೋಣಾಚಾರ್ಯನಿಗೆ ನಡೆದ ರೋಮಾಂಚಕರ ಯುದ್ಧವೃತ್ತಾಂತವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
