Educational Q&A

The verse foregrounds the idea that Kṛṣṇa’s actions are ‘divine’ (divya) and incomparable, inviting the listener to interpret events not only through human effort but through a dharmic and providential lens—where moral order and divine guidance can decisively shape outcomes.

Dhṛtarāṣṭra addresses Sañjaya and requests an account of Kṛṣṇa’s extraordinary deeds. This sets up a section of narration that highlights Kṛṣṇa’s greatness and influence, especially relevant amid the escalating violence and ethical tension of the Kurukṣetra war.
