Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s appraisal of Vāsudeva’s deeds
धृतराष्ट्र रवाच यः स उद्यन्निवादित्यो ज्योतिषा प्रणुदंस्तम: । अजातशत्रुमायान्तं कस्तं द्रोणादवारयत्,धृतराष्ट्र बोले--जो उगते हुए सूर्यकी भाँति अपनी प्रभासे अन्धकार दूर कर देते हैं, उन अजातशत्रु युधिष्ठिरको द्रोणके समीप आनेसे किसने रोका था?
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca yaḥ sa udyann ivādityaḥ jyotiṣā praṇudaṃs tamaḥ | ajātaśatrum āyāntaṃ kas taṃ droṇād avārayat ||
ಧೃತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಉದಯಿಸುವ ಸೂರ್ಯನಂತೆ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಅಂಧಕಾರವನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುವ ಅಜಾತಶತ್ರು ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರನು ದ್ರೋಣನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಅವನನ್ನು ದ್ರೋಣನ ಸಮೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪದಂತೆ ಯಾರು ತಡೆದರು?
