मोहयन् समरे द्रौणिं मायावी राक्षसाधिप: । तत्पश्चात् उस मायावी राक्षसराजने समरांगणमें अश्वत्थामाको मोहित करते हुए अत्यन्त दारुण घोर माया प्रकट की
sañjaya uvāca | mohayan samare drauṇiṃ māyāvī rākṣasādhipaḥ | tatpaścāt sa māyāvī rākṣasarājo raṇāṅgaṇe aśvatthāmānaṃ mohayann atyantaṃ dāruṇaṃ ghoraṃ māyāṃ prāduracakāra |
ಸಮರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಯಾವಿ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಾಧಿಪತಿ ದ್ರೋಣಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ಮೋಹಗೊಳಿಸಿದನು. ಅನಂತರ ಆ ಮಾಯಾವಿ ರಾಕ್ಷಸರಾಜನು ಯುದ್ಧರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶ್ವತ್ಥಾಮನನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಪುನಃ ಭ್ರಮೆಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ದಾರುಣವಾದ ಘೋರ ಮಾಯೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದನು.
