Adhyāya 86: Irāvān’s Lineage, Cavalry Clash, and the Māyā-Duel Ending in Irāvān’s Fall
तेषां प्रववृते युद्ध सुमहललोमहर्षणम् । इरावांस्तु सुसंक़्रुद्धो भ्रातरी देवरूपिणौ
teṣāṃ pravavṛte yuddhaṃ sumahallomaharṣaṇam | irāvāṃs tu susaṃkruddho bhrātarī devarūpiṇau |
ಅವರ ನಡುವೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭೀಕರವೂ ರೋಮಾಂಚಕರವೂ ಆದ ಯುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಇರಾವಾನ್ ತೀವ್ರ ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ಉರಿದು, ದೇವರೂಪಿಗಳಾದ ವಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಅನುವಿಂದ ಎಂಬ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನು ಗಾಂಠযুক্ত ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣ ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಗಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಸಹ ಸಮರಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ಯುದ್ಧಕೌಶಲ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಪುಣರು; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ಇರಾವಾನನನ್ನೂ ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ಚುಚ್ಚಿದರು.
