भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ११०: पार्थभीमयोः प्रहारः तथा भीष्माभिमुखं संग्रामविस्तारः
Arjuna and Bhima’s pressure; escalation toward Bhishma
वक्तुमर्हति सत्यं स त्वया पृष्टो विशेषत: । ते वयं तत्र गच्छाम: प्रष्टं कुरपितामहम्
sañjaya uvāca | vaktum arhati satyaṃ sa tvayā pṛṣṭo viśeṣataḥ | te vayaṃ tatra gacchāmaḥ praṣṭuṃ kuru-pitāmaham ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ಹೇಳಲು ಯೋಗ್ಯನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಕುರುಪಿತಾಮಹನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸೋಣ. ಬಾ, ಓ ಭಾರತ! ಶಾಂತನುವಿನ ಪುತ್ರ ಭೀಷ್ಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಹಿತಕರವಾದ ಮಂತ್ರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳು; ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಲು ಉಪಯುಕ್ತವಾದ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅವನು ನೀಡುವನು.
