जन्म द्वितीयमित्येतज्जघन्यतरमुच्यते । पसीनेसे उत्पन्न होनेवाले जू आदि कीट और जन्तु स्वेदज कहे जाते हैं। यह क्रमशः दूसरा जन्म पहलेकी अपेक्षा निम्न स्तरका कहा जाता है
janma dvitīyam ity etaj jaghanyataram ucyate |
ವಾಯು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಇದನ್ನೇ ‘ಎರಡನೆಯ ಜನ್ಮ’ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಜನ್ಮಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೀನವೆಂದು ವರ್ಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಬೆವರಿನಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ಜೂಳು ಮೊದಲಾದ ಸಣ್ಣ ಕೀಟಜೀವಿಗಳು ‘ಸ್ವೇದಜ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತವೆ।
