अर्थश्न सुमहान्‌ प्राप्तो येन यक्ष्यामि देवता: । पुरस्कृत्याद्य भवत: समानेष्यामहे मखम्‌

arthaś ca sumahān prāpto yena yakṣyāmi devatāḥ | puraskṛtyādya bhavataḥ samāneṣyāmahe makham ||

ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಇದೀಗ ಅಪಾರವಾದ ಧನರಾಶಿ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ; ಅದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಯಥಾವಿಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಯಜಿಸಬಲ್ಲೆ. ಇಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟು ಆ ಧನವನ್ನು ಯಜ್ಞಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ದು ಮಖದ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡೋಣ.
