Consolation of Yudhiṣṭhira; Rites and Gifts; Return to Hastināpura
आश्चासितोऊ हं प्राग्वृद्धैर्भवद्धिर्मुनिपुड़वै: । न सूक्ष्ममपि मे किंचिद् व्यलीकमिह विद्यते
āśvāsito ’haṃ prāg vṛddhair bhavadbhir munipuṅgavaiḥ | na sūkṣmam api me kiñcid vyalīkam iha vidyate ||
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಮಹಾನುಭಾವರೇ! ನೀವು ವೃದ್ಧರು, ಮುನಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಚನಗಳಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಮಹಾ ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ದೊರಕಿದೆ; ಈಗ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಪಮಾತ್ರವೂ ದುಃಖವಿಲ್ಲ.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Wise counsel from elders and accomplished sages can steady the mind: when guidance is truthful and compassionate, it removes even subtle remnants of grief and restores inner clarity.
Vaiśampāyana reports that he has been reassured by venerable sages; their words have dispelled his sorrow so completely that no trace of inner distress remains.
