कृत्वाग्नौकरणं पूर्व मन्त्रपूर्व तपोधन । ततो5ग्नये5थ सोमाय वरुणाय च नित्यश:

Transliteration

kṛtvāgnaukaraṇaṃ pūrvaṃ mantrapūrva tapodhana | tato 'gnaye 'tha somāya varuṇāya ca nityaśaḥ ||

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಓ ತಪೋಧನ, ವೇದಮಂತ್ರಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಮೊದಲು ಅಗ್ನೌಕರಣವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ, ನಂತರ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಅಗ್ನಿಗೆ, ಸೋಮಕ್ಕೆ, ವರುಣನಿಗೆ ಅವರ ನಿಯತ ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು; ಈ ಕ್ರಮದ ಪೂಜೆಯಿಂದ ಧರ್ಮಾಧಾರವಾದ ದೇವಶಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.
