Strī-satkāra (On honoring women) — Mahābhārata 13.46
तथैव हि भवेयुस्ते लोका: पापकृतो यथा । कृत्वा नाचक्षत: कर्म मम तच्च यथाकृतम्
tathaiva hi bhaveyus te lokāḥ pāpakṛto yathā | kṛtvā nācakṣataḥ karma mama tac ca yathākṛtam |
ವಿಪುಲನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಪಾಪಾಚಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ದೊರೆಯುವ ಲೋಕಗಳೇ ನಿನಗೂ ದೊರೆಯಬಹುದಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಆ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಕೂಡ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಗತಿಯೂ ಪಾಪಿಗಳ ಲೋಕಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಆಗಬಹುದಿತ್ತು.
