Vivāha-dharma: Kanyā-pradāna, Śulka, and Pāṇigrahaṇa-niṣṭhā (अनुशासन पर्व, अध्याय ४४)
विपुल उवाच अजितेन्द्रिय दुर्बुद्धे पापात्मक पुरन्दर । न चिरं पूजयिष्यन्ति देवास्त्वां मानुषास्तथा
vipula uvāca | ajitendriya durbuddhe pāpātmaka purandara | na ciraṁ pūjayiṣyanti devās tvāṁ mānuṣās tathā ||
ವಿಪುಲನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ‘ಪಾಪಾತ್ಮನೇ ಪುರಂದರಾ! ನಿನ್ನ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ದುಷ್ಟ; ನೀನು ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಲಾರೆಯ. ನೀನು ಇದೇ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದರೆ ದೇವರೂ ಮಾನವರೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾಲ ಪೂಜಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.’
