न कामभोगान्‌ विपुलान्‌ नालंकारान्‌ न संश्रयान्‌ । तथैव बहु मन्यन्ते यथा रत्यामनुग्रहम्‌

Transliteration

na kāmabhogān vipulān nālaṅkārān na saṁśrayān | tathaiva bahu manyante yathā ratyām anugraham ||

Translation

ಅವರು ಅಪಾರ ಕಾಮಭೋಗಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಆಭರಣಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಉತ್ತಮ ಆಶ್ರಯವನ್ನೂ (ಮನೆ) ಅಷ್ಟಾಗಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ರತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೋರಿಸುವ ಅನುಗ್ರಹ—ಸ್ನೇಹಪೂರ್ಣ ಗಮನವನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೋ ಅಷ್ಟಲ್ಲ.
