यह तीर्थ-सेवनका कार्य परम पवित्र, पुण्यप्रद, स्वर्गकी प्राप्तिका सर्वोत्तम साधन और वेदोंका गुप्त रहस्य है। प्रत्येक तीर्थ पावन और स्नानके योग्य होता है ।।
idaṃ dadyād dvijātīnāṃ sādhōr ātma-hitasya ca | suhṛdāṃ ca japet karṇe śiṣyasyānugatasya ca ||
ತೀರ್ಥಸೇವನೆಯ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಪರಮ ಪಾವನ, ಪುಣ್ಯಪ್ರದ, ಸ್ವರ್ಗಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಿಗೆ ಅನುತ್ತಮ ಸಾಧನ ಮತ್ತು ವೇದಗಳ ಗುಹ್ಯ ರಹಸ್ಯ; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ತೀರ್ಥವೂ ಪವಿತ್ರವೂ ಸ್ನಾನಯೋಗ್ಯವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಈ ತೀರ್ಥಮಾಹಾತ್ಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ದ್ವಿಜರಿಗೆ, ಆತ್ಮಹಿತವನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವ ಸಾಧುಪುರುಷನಿಗೆ, ಸುಹೃದರಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿಸ್ತುಪಾಲಿಸುವ ಅನುಗತ ಶಿಷ್ಯನ ಕಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಗುಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ಜಪಿಸಿ ತಿಳಿಸಬೇಕು.
