Mataṅga–Gardabhī Itihāsa
यत्र भागीरथी गड्जा पतते दिशमुत्तराम् । महेश्वरस्य त्रिस्थाने यो नरस्त्वभिषिच्यते
yatra bhāgīrathī gaṅgā patate diśam uttarām | maheśvarasya tristhāne yo naras tv abhiṣicyate ||
ಭಾಗೀರಥೀ ಗಂಗೆಯು ಉತ್ತರದಿಕ್ಕಿಗೆ ಹರಿಯುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ—ಮಹೇಶ್ವರನ ತ್ರಿಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿತರಾಗುವರೋ, ಅವರು ಶುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನೂ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಉನ್ನತಿಯನ್ನುೂ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ।
