इति मत्वा हृदि मतं प्राह मां सुरसत्तम: । मयि सम्भावना यास्या: फलात्कृष्णो भविष्यति
iti matvā hṛdi mataṁ prāha māṁ surasattamaḥ | mayi sambhāvanā yāsyāḥ phalāt kṛṣṇo bhaviṣyati ||
ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿದ ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು ದೇವಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನು (ಶಿವನು) ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ಮುನಿಯೇ! ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲಿನ ನಿನ್ನ ಭಕ್ತಿಭಾವ-ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಯ ಫಲದಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ‘ಕೃಷ್ಣ’ ಎಂಬ ಪುತ್ರನು ಹುಟ್ಟುವನು.”
