प्रतर्दनो दिवोदास: सुदास: कोसलेश्वर: । ऐलो नलश्न राजर्षिमिनुश्चैव प्रजापति:
pratardano divodāsaḥ sudāsaḥ kosaleśvaraḥ | ailo nalaś ca rājarṣir manuś caiva prajāpatiḥ ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—“ಇನ್ನೂ ಈ ರಾಜರ್ಷಿಗಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳು: ಪ್ರತರ್ಧನ, ದಿವೋದಾಸ, ಕೋಸಲಾಧಿಪತಿ ಸುದಾಸ, ಐಲ (ಪುರೂರವ), ರಾಜರ್ಷಿ ನಲ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಜಾಪತಿ ಮನು. ಇವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪುರಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧರಾದ ಇತರ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಪುಣ್ಯಾತ್ಮ ರಾಜರು ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯರು. ಯಾರು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ಸ್ನಾನದಿಂದ ಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾತಃಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೂ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೂ ಈ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ಪಠಿಸುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಅವನು ಧರ್ಮಫಲದ ಪಾಲುದಾರನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.”
