Anuśāsana-parva 17
लोकपालोडन््तर्तितात्मा प्रसादो हयगर्दभि: । पवित्र च महांश्नैव नियमो नियमाश्रित:
lokapālo ’ntarhitātmā prasādo hayagardabhiḥ | pavitraṃ ca mahāṃś caiva niyamo niyamāśritaḥ ||
ವಾಯುದೇವನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಅವನು ಲೋಕಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಕನು, ಅಂತರಹಿತ (ಅದೃಶ್ಯ) ಸ್ವರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುವವನು, ಸದಾ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಕೃಪಾಶಾಂತಿಯಿಂದ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣನು. ಅವನು ಕುದುರೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಖಚ್ಚರಗಳಿಂದ ಜೂತಗೊಂಡ ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನು ಪವಿತ್ರನು, ಮಹಾಪೂಜ್ಯನು; ಶೌಚ, ಸಂತೋಷ ಮೊದಲಾದ ನಿಯಮಗಳ ಆಚರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಲಭ್ಯನು, ಮತ್ತು ಆ ನಿಯಮಗಳ ಆಶ್ರಯವೂ ಶರಣವೂ ಅವನೇ.
