शक्तितश्नरितं वक्ष्ये प्रसादात्‌ तस्य धीमत: । अप्राप्य तु ततो<नुज्ञां न शक्‍्यः स्तोतुमी श्वरः

Transliteration

śaktitaḥ saṅkṣiptaṁ vakṣye prasādāt tasya dhīmataḥ | aprāpya tu tato 'nujñāṁ na śakyaḥ stotum īśvaraḥ ||

Translation

ನನ್ನ ಸೀಮಿತ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ, ಆ ಧೀಮಂತ ಮಹಾದೇವನ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಾನು ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಚರಿತ್ರೆಯನ್ನೂ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವನ್ನೂ ಹೇಳುವೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಅನುಮತಿ ಪಡೆಯದೆ ಆ ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುವುದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ.
