रुद्रस्य भागं यज्ञे च विशिष्ट ते त्वकल्पयन् | भयेन त्रिदशा राजन् शरणं च प्रपेदिरे
rudrasya bhāgaṃ yajñe ca viśiṣṭa te tv akalpayan | bhayena tridaśā rājan śaraṇaṃ ca prapedire |
ವಾಯು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ರಾಜನೇ, ಭಯದಿಂದ ದೇವತೆಗಳು ಶಂಕರನಾದ ರುದ್ರನ ಶರಣು ಹೋದರು. ನಂತರ ಯಜ್ಞದಲ್ಲಿ ರುದ್ರನಿಗೆ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಿ, ಯಜ್ಞಾವಶಿಷ್ಟವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ರುದ್ರನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
