अपना छा | अ:-फक्राछ सप्तपञ्चाशर्दाधिकशततमोब् ध्याय: कप नामक दानवोंके द्वारा स्वर्गलोकपर अधिकार जमा लेनेपर ब्राह्म॒णोंका कपोंको भस्म कर देना
bhīṣma uvāca
tṛṣṇīm āsīd arjunas tu pavanastv abravīt punaḥ |
śṛṇu me brāhmaṇeṣv eva mukhyaṃ karma janādhipa ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು— “ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರಾ! ಇಷ್ಟಾದರೂ ಕಾರ್ತವೀರ್ಯ ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಮೌನವಾಗಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ವಾಯುದೇವನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು— ‘ನರಾಧಿಪನೇ! ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಆದರ್ಶಕರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಕೇಳು.’”
