भीष्म उवाच अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम्‌ । पवनस्य च संवादमर्जुनस्य च भारत

Transliteration

Bhīṣma uvāca: atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṁ purātanam | pavanasya ca saṁvādam arjunasya ca bhārata ||

Translation

ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಓ ಭಾರತ! ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಒಂದು ಪುರಾತನ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ—ಅಂದರೆ ಪವನದೇವ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಜುನನ ಸಂವಾದವನ್ನು।
