पन्थान: सर्वनेतारो यज्ञवाहा: सनातना: । पितृपैतामहीं गुर्वीमुद्गहन्ति धुरं सदा
Transliteration
panthānaḥ sarva-netāro yajña-vāhāḥ sanātanāḥ | pitṛ-paitāmahīṁ gurvīm udgahnanti dhuraṁ sadā ||
Translation
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರೇ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಪಥಪ್ರದರ್ಶಕರು, ನಾಯಕರು, ಮತ್ತು ಸನಾತನ ಯಜ್ಞಪರಂಪರೆಯ ವಾಹಕರು. ಪಿತೃ-ಪೈತಾಮಹರಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಭಾರೀ ಧರ್ಮಮರ್ಯಾದೆಯ ಜೂತವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಸದಾ ಹೊರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
